RVR Legends is a group of retired or nearly retired men who get together on Thursdays to have a little fun on the RVR golf course.  We have members in their sixties all the way through their eighties.  Our handicaps range from single digit to thirty plus.  We are a diverse group!

 

• The RVR Legends play golf every Thursday morning from mid-May to late October, depending on weather and the golf course schedule.  

• Registration fee is $10 per week.

• We encourage everyone to have a USGA handicap.  Golfers without handicaps are welcome to play, but their scores will not be used in the competition.  

• We expect members to be past the beginner stage and to be familiar with golf etiquette and the rules of golf.  

• Members must be capable of playing an 18-hole round of golf in four hours or less.  (Riding in a cart.)

• As much as possible, foursomes are arranged so each golfer plays with a different group each week.  The goal is for everyone to get to know each other, and hopefully establish some new friendships.

• Each foursome is a team, and team score is the total of the two best net scores on each hole.  

• Each member of the winning team receives $20 and the low net golf each week receives the "Champion Golfer" award (a sleeve of balls).  

• All proceeds left over at the end of the year are donated to the golf and course maintenance staff.  (We raised almost $2,500 in 2023!)
